The challenge in many Smart Maintenance projects is determining what is smart to measure. In many cases, projects start with something readily available or something a vendor is enthusiastic about. To address this more purposefully, this knowledge product has been developed.

This knowledge product provides guidance on the logical steps to determine what to measure in order to eventually make predictions. The scientific foundation of the knowledge product is based on a publication featuring a model by Prof. Dr. Ir. Tiedo Tinga. This model has been enriched with insights from various practical cases involving WCM members.
